Chapter 29- Warrior’s Strike!

As I walk along the path of the snowy forest, I couldn’t help myself from thinking about the fortune I will be making from crafting the Lv. 4 Icy Wind Pills!

Walking around the Northern Region in a thin white robe might not be the best of ideas, it’s so cold and I have no idea where to go! With my Bramble Thorn Sword at my side I have no other choice but to continue moving forward!

I hastily wrapped myself with the cloak I received from one of the silver feathered bird I had killed awhile back. Walking over to the nearest tree I notice a blade of grass swaying in the cold breeze. I took a closer look and realize that it’s the Icy Herbs!

As I move in closer to retrieve the Icy Herb I notice a red dot on my mini map. That usually means it’s a monster! I moved to the side of the tree to get a better view of the monster and what I saw terrified me, so much that I took a couple of steps back involuntarily. It was another undead type soldier, but this one is just made of bones and dragging a big iron sword along the snow grounds. What made this monster intimidating is how it constantly emits a low roar…

Description: Greenskull skeletons, Guardians of the Cold Wind Forest. These powerful undead creatures used to be knights of a great kingdom millions of years ago, but due to the influence of evil spirits they lost their humanity and turn into bloodthirsty undead. In order to survive the harsh environment and time, they fused their bodies with that of the mountain. Millions of years later they broke free from the mountain, obtaining along the way a rock-like defense. Isolated within the Cold Wind Forest for thousands of years, these monsters are very difficult to destroy…

According to the description their defense must be really high, but with high defense they must have a lower attack! Luckily I have the perfect pet to use in this occasion, with Baby Bobo 5 star Attack rating and 97% excellence, plus Heal, Homeostasis, and therapy to remove any status effect ; I should be able to win this easily!

“Here I come!”

Raising my blade with a huge grin on my face, I commanded Baby Bobo to attack simultaneously with me. I made a thrust at the skeleton’s body and the noise that came out was the same as if I was attacking rocks! His defense is too high!

I laugh and cried at the same time as I saw the pathetic damages that we inflicted on the Greenskull Skeleton! After being continuously attack by us he drew his sword up and slashed at Baby Bobo for 144 points of damage. At least we were right about his attack not being high, unlike the Lv. 27 Death Hunters. I used Homeostasis on Bobo and we continue attacking, taking his Health down slowly but surely. Looking at how much his Health decreased from our attacks, I figure that these monsters Health should be around 1400.

“21!”

Oh these shameful damages are bringing me to tears! Just so pathetic!

After one more strike from my Bramble Thorn Sword, the Greenskull Skeleton finally died. It dropped a generous amount of 45 copper coins, but unfortunately no items dropped.

I turned around, pulled out my trusty shovel and start digging at the Icy Herb. Couple of seconds later I had [Icy Herb] x3 in my inventory! I felt very accomplished, but sadly there were no system notification for Charm.

Continuing along the snowy forest path, I picked up several Icy Herbs while killing more of the Greenskull Skeletons. Right now with Bobo’s help, I’m killing these monsters around 30 secs each; without Bobo’s help I figure it would take me 3-5 mins! Thank god for giving me Baby Bobo and his 5 star Attack rating!

I have been killing and hunting for 3 hours, missed out on dinner and supper, but I did not care I must continue to farm!

After killing so many Greenskull Skeletons that I manage to lost track of time, I didn’t even realize Bobo’s skill [Batter] is now Lv.3! We continue to engage in more fights and on this last one, near the skull I see two items that were dropped. The first is a dark green Illustration Card, the other is a shinning double-edge spear, seems like a powerful weapon?!?

Excitedly I picked up the Illustration and it turns out to be a Greenskull Skeleton Illustration Card!

Wow, a pure defensive pet with a 5 star rating in addition to the 4.5 stars Health. With a high excellence score, I’m sure this type of pet would be best for tanking Bosses! Compare to the high level monks we have now, I’m sure this pet can out tank anyone, especially the monks who have mediocre equipments!

I happily use the illustration card so that I may find a Lv. 1 Greenskull Skeleton to seal! A pity though, I had encounter a Lv. 1 Greenskull Skeleton awhile back and accidently killed it without inspecting…

Afterwards I picked up the mysterious spear still laying on the ground, a chill crept through me as I handle the spear in my hands. The stats on this weapon should be quite nice and after killing all these Greenskull Skeleton this is a worthwhile drop!

Smiling from ear to ear, I leap with joy at the maximum attack of 125! This is the type of damage I like to see on the weapons I can use! Looking at my Thorn Sword and my newly obtain weapon, I decided to go ahead with equipping the new spear.

I took off my Bramble Thorn Sword and equip my Ancient Double-Edge Spear, which would mean that I had to give up my Sword Tempest skill. It was worth the trade since with a spear I had better range and a great variety of ways to destroy the opponents!

Looking at my current stats I feel quite excited at my damage output!

Although my attack still can’t compare to Baby Bobo’s attack, at least I can finally deal some real damage to the Greenskull Skeletons rock-like defense now!

Happily waving my spear around, I dance with joy and scream out loud with excitement at the crisp clear night sky as I continue on my way to find a Greenskull Skeleton to test my damage on!

It is now 7:00pm and finally I was able to encounter a Lv. 1 Greenskull Skeleton! My heart skipped a beat as I immediately pulled out the sealing cards. After trying to seal the Greenskull for 9 times in a row, I finally succeeded on the next seal! I placed the Greenskull Skeleton in my pet inventory and checked out its stats.

75% Excellence may not be the best, but it will still make me a fortune! Ha ha ha!

After putting away my awesome new pet, I continue farming with Baby Bobo so that I could raise my level to 25 today! Although I may not be the strongest class, I have my Ancient Double-Edge Spear along with Baby Bobo to help me out.

At 21:00pm I found myself face to face with another Lv.1 Greenskull Skeleton! It took me 11 consecutive tries to obtain this one.

My pet inventory is now full because it can only hold three pets at a time. The newest Greenskull Skeleton only have an Excellence of 49%, but compare to the killer bee pet that I sold it should cost a lot more no doubt!

With a full bag of pets and Icy Herb Grass, I can now return to Ba Huang City!

As I was about to use my Ba Huang City Teleport Scroll, I can faintly hear some noises in the distance. It seems as though a battle is being fought right now and from the sound of it, a big battle! I came out of Cold Wind Forest near the PK area called “Wild Grave Hill” and indeed there was a battle!

Carrying my Ancient Double-Edge Spear, I walked out of the forest and laid down on a grassy part of the hill so that I could spectate the battle. Looking towards the site where the battle was being fought, I saw hundreds of people surrounding a BOSS, who only had 15% Health left. It seems there were two factions competing for the BOSS and one of the faction had players I knew – Prague !!!

Yan Zhao Warrior took 3 consecutive hits from the BOSS and said: “Back away!”

A golden hexagram appear underneath Yan Zhao Warrior’s feet as he jumped high into the sky. His blade came down on the BOSS and within the attacking CD limit of 1.3 seconds he executed a special 5 hit combo [Warrior’s Strike]! I can’t believe it! He succeeded in creating his own skill!

I can’t even begin to fathom the gap that lies between Yan Zhao Warrior and I! To catch up to his skill will be a daunting task!

The BOSS Health dropped tremendously. Yan Zhao Warrior order his guild to secure the boss kill, making sure the other Faction could not interupt and Kill Steal the BOSS: “Block their attack and their passage to the BOSS, make sure we get the final hit and Qing Qian, Wei Liang, go kill the leaders of the their guild!”

As I watch the battle, I notice two figures disappear into the crowd, they must be Assassins using [Stealth]. Although I did not get a good look at their face, I knew one of them must be Yue Qing Qian, one of my clients!

The other Guild was led by a Lv. 27 Swordsman, ID: General Li Mu! He’s one of the top 10 rank players in Ba Huang city and right behind him is the Lv.26 Berserker General Bai Qi and General Lian, Lv. 25 Archer! Half of Ba Huang City Elites are here having a free for all!

“Swoosh!”

General Li Mu uses his skill to behead a skilled Prague Healer, while Bai Qi destroys two monks and struck his blade into the chest of a Mage which dealt a critical damage of 442 points!

“Brothers! This Lv. 30 BOSS is ours for the taking! Don’t let these dogs of Prague take it away from us!” General Li Mu roared

The Wind Elves from each guild pulled on their longbows, striking and fleeing after every shot. Their aim is to take out the respective Healer of each guild, making it impossible for the other to receive healing. Thus, making it a death match where the lone survivors win it all!

I laid quietly on the mountain side, spectating the battle that is unfolding in front of my eyes. This is a very good learning experience and I can learn a lot from watching Yan Zhao Warrior in action. To better myself and to master new skills, I must have an open mind! This is a good attitude to have if I want to be the strongest!
